I do have a soft spot for these wonderful vintage ironstone mugs. I love their chunky body and solid handle. Most were made for workers in factories and pilots during the war for the tea breaks so they needed to be robust!
They are usually dated too and this one has the date 1959 and the letters ER under a crown.
This one is in great condition with some staining round the handle and crazing.
Perfect for that first big cup of tea in the morning.
